Beyond Reagan: The Global Health Impact of Physicians

Tamkin Auditorium

Time: 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Come check out Dr. Faysal Saab and Dr. Kiran Mitha, two UCLA Health physicians with a significant background in global health, as they discuss insights they have gained along their career path and their transformative work.


From MAI to MD


Time: 5:00pm - 6:00pm

A panel of MAI alumni who are current medical students at various universities discussed their journeys from MAI to medical school, including the role MAI played in their applications and their medical school experiences thus far!


MAI x MSF Physician Panel


Time: 6:30pm - 7:30pm

This event seeks to help students learn more about unique career pathways available in the medical field along with highlighting the impactful work our diverse group of speakers has conducted in related fields such as climate health, racism in nursing, and global health, among more.


Medical Waste & Health Equity Panel


Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm

With the ongoing pandemic magnifying critical gaps in health and the rapid increase in medical waste, this event will facilitate a discussion about the strategies implemented to address these issues. Professionals from leading health care providers and academic institutions will share their experiences, inspiration, and valuable insight. Students will also have the opportunity to ask personalized questions to the panelists.


MCAT Workshop


Time: 6pm - 7:15pm

Hosted by External Relations members Jeffrey Huynh and Nolan Nguyen, our workshop will have guest speaker Todd Bennett, the founder and instructor of the leading MCAT prep program, The Berkeley Review, talk about tips on how to apply for, study, and take the MCAT exam! A panel of students will also give their advice on how they studied and their individual experiences!


MAI Alumni Panel: Sustainability in Medicine and the Pre-Health Journey


Time: 6pm - 7pm

A team of medical students and pre-health undergraduates will provide insight into their unique undergraduate journeys at UCLA, discuss the significance of medical sustainability, give tips on how to balance academics and personal well-being, and describe how their opportunities at UCLA have influenced their career aspirations and prepared them for medical school, graduate school, and more.


Global Health and Sustainability Art Pop-Up

Location: Bruin Plaza

Time: 11am - 3pm


Come out and learn about ways to reduce medical waste through sustainability and interactive syringe art!



Coastalong Music Festival

Location: Sunset Recreation Center

Time: 3pm - 9pm


Join us at the Sustainability Fair for syringe art projects and to discuss our efforts in medical waste reduction!
