The Medical Aid Initiative serves as a liaison to collect, sort, and distribute medical donations gathered directly from UCLA Health. UCLA Health is one of the leading forces in the diagnosis and treatment of complex illnesses with cutting edge biomedical research, patient care, and education. With the partnership, MAI is able to provide medical supplies as donations to areas that lack the proper resources. MAI does not directly distribute to these areas; instead, MAI works alongside many UCLA-affiliated organizations who deliver the resources on their global health trips. These organizations include Global Medical Training, The Spanky Project, FISH, and more.  MAI's services and operations are located at the UCLA Michigan Operations Center (MOC) in Santa Monica, CA.
