The operation of Medical Aid Initiative is not only an effort of undergraduate students but a collaboration of faculties from many branches of UCLA Health.

Amer works in the UCLA Health Business Development department, formerly known as International Services. He plays a critical role in the approval of domestic medical supply donations. Additionally, he works with us to coordinate any UCLA Health organized medical supply donations to regions that have undergone a crisis. Examples of past international donations he was worked with us on include Ukraine, Beirut, Armenia, and Haiti.

Silva works within the UCLA Health Volunteer Services department, where she acts as the primary liaison between MAI and UCLA Health. She also coordinates our volunteer shift logistics and our onboarding as Medical Aid Initiative members.
