PASE Donation Spotlight

MAI donated medical supplies to PASE (Program for the Advancement of Surgical Equity) whose mission is to reduce disparities in surgical disease outcomes. PASE went on a medical trip to Douala, Cameroon where they used the donated supplies in a regional hospital's emergency department.

"The staff in the emergency department of Edea Regional Hospital in the Littoral region of Cameroon are very grateful for the donations!"

Some donations that were the most useful during the trip were cervical collars and angiocatheters. During the trip, the most common cases were those that involved traumatic injury. This included head injury, chest injury, and  pneumothorax injury.
