MAI Annual Research Symposium
'26 Theme: How do you incorporate sustainability into your field of study or practice?
MAI is a sustainability -focused organization that works with UCLA Health to redistribute excess and unused medical supplies to organizations and communities in need. In an effort to increase awareness about sustainability in all its forms, we will be hosting a Sustainability Symposium on Friday, April 10th from 3:00-7:00 PM, and we would love to invite your organization to participate! The event will feature professional guest speakers, member-led presentations on medical sustainability, and two dedicated poster/showcase sessions highlighting original work from participating groups. Ultimately, we are looking to spotlight work from a wide range of disciplines, backgrounds, and perspectives, highlighting the ways in which sustainability is understood and applied across fields.
We are specifically inviting clubs and labs that are working on original projects—broadly defined. These may include research projects, creative or artistic work, policy analyses, design projects, or other original explorations related to sustainability. Rather than general information about your organization, we are hoping to spotlight work you’ve actively developed and would like to share with a broader audience. We’d love to welcome projects of all forms, from research posters to recycled art projects.
The event will be open to the public and is intended to serve as a platform for:
-
Sharing original, interdisciplinary work
-
Engaging with professionals and peers in sustainability-related fields
-
Networking with guest speakers and other student researchers
-
Gaining experience presenting work to a diverse audience
If your group is interested in participating and believes you have a project that would be a good fit, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us using the form below.
